Upon entering our office our receptionist will greet you and welcome you to the clinic. We will request you fill out some paperwork-which is on this website in the New Patient Center. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and what is hurting you. We encourage you to fill out the online new patient forms and bring them in with you to your first appointment.
Next you will have a consultation with one of the Doctors. The purpose of the consultation is for the Doctor to introduce themselves to you, and to ask you some specific questions about what is troubling you. To find out if you want symptomatic relief or if you want to fix the problem permanently if possible. To ensure that you and your expectations are fully understood.
Once we understand fully all your concerns, we then explain how the examination is to be performed to see if we can actually help you. The Doctor then examines you thoroughly by testing your reflexes, your nerves, your joints, your range of motion, blood pressure and other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests. You will be examined fully clothed and with your consent. We want you to feel comfortable so we can help you.
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to help us rule out more serious conditions and to assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. X-rays will only be recommended if the Doctor thinks they are absolutely necessary. The Doctor will take the x-rays and then schedule a time for you and a loved one to return to carefully go over the x-rays with the Doctor. This is called a Report of Findings. We ask you to bring a loved one or a friend with you so you will have the support you need at home.
In the Report of Findings we answer the following important questions.
We review your x-rays with you and address any other concerns you may have.
Our FIRST Goal is to help you get PAIN RELIEF as quickly as possible.
Our SECOND Goal is to FIX the problem
Our THIRD Goal is to STRENGTHEN your body so the treatment benefits last as long as possible.
All the treatments are custom tailored to you and your needs. We work with very young and very old people. We treat patients with recent and old injuries, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and prosthetic devices in their bodies. We use physical therapy, massage, moist heat, muscle stimulation, ice, chiropractic, home based exercise programs and much more to serve you.
For those patients who want to know how to take care of themselves at home they will be instructed on a wellness program tailored to their needs.
